5 Easy Ways to Improve Curb Appeal

Has it been a while since you’ve last freshened up the exterior of your home? Worried the neighbours are starting to notice? No problem! With a few pro-approved tips and tricks, you can easily upgrade the front of your home within a weekend and have it the centre of attention for all the right reasons.

1. Give it a Fresh Cut

Curb appeal is all about making a great first impression. To put your home’s best face forward, give the yard a quick cut, remove any weeds and lay fresh fertilizer. With a well-cared for lawn of its own, any house can radiate natural beauty.

2. Update Your Address

If guests have to strain and squint to determine your address then it might be time to update those civic numbers. Replace the plates of the past with new eye-catching digits that can be easily seen from the driveway. If you really want to draw visual interest you can select a set that speaks to your home’s architecture and display them in a vertical manner.

3. Brandish a Captivating New Door

If you really think about it the most eye-catching homes in any neighbourhood usually have one thing in common: a vibrant front door. When upgrading your own entryway try to select a colour that complements and enlivens the exterior of your home. You could use a semi-to high-gloss finish with a vibrant blue, a bright red, or even a splash of yellow. By doing this you are bound to make a lasting impression.

4. Grow Your Greenery

Having potted plants and flowers is a great way to reinvigorate your outdoor space, much like a fresh paint job. You can create a gorgeous entrance by using topiaries to frame your front door. Another great tip is to mix planters with different shapes and sizes to help spruce up your porch.

5. Polish With Personality

If you’re really in a time crunch and don’t have the time to do all of the above tips not to worry! Just bring out all of your personal touches. What we mean is take those cheeky welcome mats and seasonal wreaths out of storage. Bring out your textured throw pillows and any other stylish porch accessories that you might have. By doing all of this your visitors will gain a greater appreciation of who you are which will instantly boost your home’s charm and character.
