Once you have completed the negotiation, and you and the seller have agreed to price and terms, it’s important to quickly send a copy of the paperwork to all the appropriate places. You should immediately get a copy to your lawyer, who will review the agreement on your behalf. It’s also important to get the paperwork to your financing person, as they will now have a specific amount of time (set out in the agreement) to give you a final approval for your financing. This approval will be not only around your personal situation, but also take into account all the details of the property, so an appraisal might be done by the bank at this point.
