About Dexter

Dexter was born and raised in Prince Edward Island with a demonstrated passion for homes, design, and people from the get-go after watching his parents successfully run multiple businesses and deal in real estate through property management and property flipping.

After studying photography and pursuing a high-volume retail career throughout Canada, he landed in Halifax in 2014 and immediately called the city home. Fast forward to today, Dexter has spent the last several years in the housing sector, specifically in the interior design and consultation industry with his interior consultation firm: Dexter Wilkie Design Group. His experience in many different areas allows him to offer clients a broad range of expertise, in both the buying and selling side of the real estate transaction.

Dexter’s mission in real estate is to deliver each and every client a knowledgeable, personable, and fun experience. He prides himself on his ability to see the potential that a space has and what can be done to create a space that you love. He gets such satisfaction from his clients’ satisfaction, whether that is asking for his advice or being your number one through the entire process—he’s here for you!

Residing on the Halifax waterfront, Dexter loves the sense of community and support this city represents—the small-town vibe with the large city amenities. When he’s recharging, you will find him spending time with his partner, walking the boardwalk or throughout the city with their 2 dogs, grabbing a bite at one of the amazing restaurants the Halifax Regional Municipality has to offer or curling up with a cup of coffee and a great design magazine.
