Mia Rankin is an accomplished business professional who employs decades of experience as an investment banker-turned-entrepreneur. Her resourcefulness and collaborative energy help guide clients as they achieve their real estate goals. With an eye for design and having personally bought, sold and built new construction and restored heritage homes in both urban and rural settings, Mia is keenly aware of property buyers’ and sellers’ needs and priorities.
Mia grew up in New York but spent every summer of her life on Cape Breton Island. She attended The Wharton Business School and The University of Pennsylvania and graduated with honours as Salutatorian with her MBA from Dalhousie University. A former Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley, Mia moved to Halifax when she married singer-songwriter, Jimmy Rankin. Mia has managed Jimmy’s award-winning music career and their record label and publishing company for close to thirty years. Winner of the Goldberg-Schulich Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, Mia adds depth and valuable marketing, communication, social media, negotiation, finance and asset valuation skills to the Carolyn Davis Stewart Group. She has also served on the Board of Directors of The Nova Scotia Heritage Trust.
