Tony (Shuang) Hou
After earning his bachelor’s degree in Information Management and Information Systems in Beijing, China, Tony had a successful career in corporate finance. Providing financial services for over 100 companies of different scales taught him invaluable analytical, task management, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
In 2013, Tony immigrated to Canada to build a better life for his family. This was the biggest decision he’s ever made and came with many challenges; from giving up his career and social network to arriving in a large, completely foreign country. These challenges were made even more difficult given the language barrier, culture shock and the uncertainty of his future in Canada. However, with a clear goal in his mind—to give his children a happier life—along with determination and patience, he overcame these challenges and has never been happier with his decision. Tony has made his home in Canada and wants to help his clients find theirs.
Tony’s mission is to make his clients’ lives easier and happier by helping them with the biggest purchase of their life: a home. His passion for helping others and seeing the satisfaction on others’ faces has led him to a career in real estate.
In his free time, Tony loves to spend time with his family and is a big tennis fan. He spends time on the tennis court year-round and has made many friends in Halifax’s tennis community. Tony played in the 2019 Gallagher Open and was runner-up in the men’s 35 singles.
