Our community cafe & bookstore is a Black led business located on the South Shore of Mik’mak’i, in one of Mahone Bay’s oldest buildings (circa 1775).

Named after a short story about segregation in the American South, our famous buttermilk biscuits are part of a long legacy of Black culinary excellence.
The Biscuit Eater is honoured to be a recipient of the 2021 Restaurant of the Year award (Taste of Nova Scotia).
